Hi, I'm Chitsein Htun, and I'm an incoming CS PhD student at Univeristy of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (UIUC). I completed my Bacherlor's and Master's in Computer Science at The University of Texas at Dallas (UTD) as a part of a 4-year program. In the past, I have worked on research to improve 360-degree video Field-of-View prediction, create immersive VR tests for diagnosing early cognitive decline, and develop behavior planning subsystems for autonomous vehicles.

I have interests in the frontier of XR, as well as the interface of technology with creative realms of music and the arts. I always look forward to tackling new challenges and developing solutions to help advance the safety, efficiency, and efficacy of real-world systems.

In my free time, I enjoy composing piano pieces, biking, swimming, and learning random historical facts. I love to learn about people, places, things, or hobbies and am always open to strike up a conversation.
